Users can now refine app searches based on release date, price, rating and more.
The new filters let users narrow searches by selecting from criteria across six different categories. The new feature allows users to quickly narrow a search and find apps much faster than the old basic search function. If you know the name of the app you’re looking for, a standard search should be all you need. However, if you only know that the app has the word “photo” in its name and was just added to the app store this week then the new filters will be a huge time saver.
A lot of users have been complaining about the iPad’s App Store limited search functionality, so Apple I guess as always responded to these complaints and Apple’s Development team recently revamped the search feature with the inclusion of loads of new filters that will eventually facilitate users to get the best possible results for their search of Apps.
It doesn’t matter that what iOS version you are running on your iPad, whenever you will opt for App searching in the App store you will see five different kind of Filters on the Top of the screen. These filters are namely Release Date, category, customer rating, device and price. When you Tap on any of the filters a popover will be displayed that can further help you to narrow down the search results.
