New Release Apple to gift iOS 4.3 Beta To 4.2.1 Firmware Update

Apple’s new Personal Hotspot feature on February 13th, which would require a release of iOS 4.3 on or before that date, MacStories reports that Apple is set to issue the new software a day later on Valentine’s Day.

iOS 4.3 Beta 1 is available on Internet. If you have installed this beta version of iOS firmware on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 4G, 3G or iPad and looking to downgrade iOS 4.3 Beta to 4.2.1 / 4.1 iOS firmware, then the below tutorial would help you.

The Apple enthusiast blog cites a reliable source in stating that Apple will release iOS 4.3 at 10:00AM PST on February 14th. Other unconfirmed reports have suggested that the new OS build would be made available before February 10th, when Verizon Wireless’ iPhone 4 is set to launch.

It looks to me like the video shows off four corners of a device, but it's tough to tell if we're looking at a tablet or a smartphone. It seems like a pretty solid bet that we'll be seeing at least one tablet, like the Topaz from HP/Palm next week, so that may be what it is. Then again, I wouldn't be shocked to see at least one or two smartphones at the event, too, so maybe HP/Palm is giving a sneak peek at one of those since renders of the Topaz have already leaked. Either way, next week is shaping up to be pretty great for all of the webOS lovers in the world.
